pShe described her recording saying,/p
blockquotepemquot; The sweetest, lovable, loving and soothing and happy all in one song. I wanted it to feel good, too. Sometimes lullabies kind of feel like Christmas songs. I still want to keep that same spirit, still where it's like soothing. That song where you can just play, because when my baby was born, I would play jazz music and light candles and hold him around the house until he would fall asleep. And I want to bottle it all up into this and have that moment where you have a special moment with your child but still when that song ends, that baby's asleep. That's the little gift and the treat that the moms get. Like, quot;Whew, I get a breakquot; [laughs].quot;/em/p

pShe added that being a mom herself definitely helped:/p
pemquot;I'm sure other moms will get that, that bond, that specialness, whether you sing or not, that you can hum to your child, that moment. When my baby was first born, like now I can't sleep without him. When I'm away from him, I can't sleep because he's not here. So when he was a baby in the middle of the night, nobody's getting up but mom. I don't care if you have a nanny or not, only mom is getting up in the middle of the night. But those are the moments I cherish the most, and that to me is what quot;Lullabyquot; gives, that moment.quot;/em/p

Chris Cornell Filling In For Robert Plant On Led Zeppelin Tour? That's News To Him
'I have not been approached to fill in for Robert Plant on the Zeppelin tour, but that isn't to say I won't be,' singer says.

"I've heard that from about 200 people now, and it might be one of those situations where it's just an online rumor or it might be true. But if you see anyone from Led Zeppelin around, let me know. I think I should actually fill in for Jimmy Page on the Robert Plant/ Alison Krauss tour."</P><P>Cornell's denial comes just a day after <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/aerosmith/artist.jhtml">Aerosmith</a>Aerosmith guitarist <a href="http://aeronewsdaily.com/blog/2008/10/31/aerosmith-guitarist-says-page-trying-to-motivate-plant-to-return-to-zeppelin/" target="_blank">Brad Whitford confirmed reports</a> that frontman Steven Tyler recently met with Zeppelin for an impromptu jam session. "They did it for fun," Whitford said during an appearance on the syndicated show "Todd N Tyler Radio Empire." "I actually think Jimmy wanted Steven to come over and play a little bit because I think he was trying to light a fire under Robert."</P><P>Rumors of a Zeppelin reunion tour have abounded since the iconic band played <a href="/news/articles/1576186/led-zeppelin-give-fans-whole-lotta-love-at-reunion-show.jhtml">a single reunion set</a> last year at London's O2 Arena. <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/twisted_sister/artist.jhtml">Twisted Sister</a>Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider added fuel to the fire last month when he revealed that the group was thinking of touring, with or without Plant.</P><P><a href="http://newsroom.mtv.com/2008/10/13/another-led-zeppelin-rumor-almost-debunked/">According to Snider</a>, the rest of the band told Plant, " 'We're all rehearsed, we're ready to go. Here's a gazillion dollars on the table. If you don't do it, we're going out with this kid [Myles Kennedy].' "</P><P>"And he can sing the sh-- out of Zeppelin," Snider added. "They're going to hope that Robert, at the last minute, will go, 'OK,' and step in."</P><P>In a recent interview, Jones told BBC Radio Devon that a new singer was being sought to take over for Plant. "We are trying out a couple of singers," he said. "We want to do it. It's sounding great, and we want to get on and get out there."</P><P>But Jones insists that he, Page and Bonham aren't interested in finding a Plant clone. "It's got to be right," he said. "There's no point in just finding another Robert. You could get that out of a tribute band, but we don't want to be our own tribute band. There would be a record and a tour, but everyone has to be onboard."</P><P>Of course, even if Zeppelin were to approach him, Cornell might be too busy to take over vocals for the band. His upcoming <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/timbaland/artist.jhtml">Timbaland</a>Timbaland-produced solo LP, <a href="/news/articles/1596730/chris-cornell-debuts-timbaland-produced-track-on-tv-show.jhtml"><i>Scream,</i></a> will be released within the next few months. Cornell told MTV News last month that some of his fans might consider <i>Scream</i> something of a departure, but he doesn't see it that way.</P><P>"It makes me happy that there's this perception that I have a group of fans that I'm now sort of throwing a curve at and what their reaction will be," he said. "But I've been in this situation so many times already. When I put out [1999's] <i>Euphoria Morning,</i> my main goal was to create an album that sounded like nothing I'd done in Soundgarden, and I did that. I also had that with Temple of the Dog, where I showed up with songs that weren't necessarily riff-based. And then, of course, the pairing of me and members of <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/rage_against_the_machine/artist.jhtml">Rage Against the Machine</a>Rage Against the Machine had everyone sort of speculating about what that would sound like.</P><P>"It feels like I've done this so many times that when it's presented to me as being a departure, I feel that's a misconception," he added. "I feel like that's my theme at this point."</p>

pembr /
Mimi: Um, I think Joseline she just says whatever out of her mouth with no regard and I meanhellip; (pauses and gets emotional)/em/p
pemstrongbr /
Egypt: There were a lot of questions when people knew you were coming on the show, like how long were you guys really dating? I heard you say 15 years on tv./strong/em/p
pembr /
Mimi: I want to clear this up. Irsquo;ve known him for 15 years. We have dated off and on. I have not been with Stevie straight for 15 years. I was absolutely not with Stevie when he was with Eve. I wasnrsquo;t with Stevie when he was with Alex, Whoopi Goldbergrsquo;s daughter. I was not with Stevie when he was in any other relationship. So Irsquo;ve known Stevie for 15 years and wersquo;ve dated off and on but for the past 3.5/4 years we have been together./em/p
pemstrongEgypt: Ok. What is it about this man? Just keep it real. What is it about him that has these women going crazy? Because itrsquo;s not the singing- what is it? Is it thehellip; pow pow/strong/em/p
pemMimi: If you watch the first episode I clearly stated I have never met ahellip; that has made me do cartwheels. I clearly said that in the first episode. What I think what it is for me the connection that him and I had and also Irsquo;m just flat out he lies to me a lot. I mean thatrsquo;s just the bottom line. Hersquo;ll say one thing to me and hersquo;ll say one thing to her or whoever else but and im not with him when hersquo;s out with anyone else. I only know what goes on when wersquo;re together./em/p
pemstrongEgypt: Most of us have either been there or have been there, where we love someone so much they tell us the right things we wanna hear. They lie to us just enough for us to say okay and sleep at night. But now yoursquo;ve seen it on tv. What has changed now that you actually see it for what it is./strong/em/p
pemMimi: A lot has changed. You guys, when yoursquo;re in a relationship and things happen, itrsquo;s a process of getting out. One thing will happen and you just donrsquo;t leave your family because one thing happened. So itrsquo;s definitely a process of a transition and process stage that you go through so thatrsquo;s what Irsquo;m going through right now./em/p
pemstrongEgypt: Is it that you want to keep your family together? I know you have a two-year-old./strong/em/p
pemMimi: I would love to keep my family together. But at this point I donrsquo;t see that happening so Irsquo;m willing to just let this do what it do./em/p
pemstrongEgypt: nbsp;I was a little upset with you last night when you decided to take a commission of Steviersquo;s business in exchangehellip;well it felt like you were accepting all of the mess that had happened on the prior episode. That everything was forgiven as long as you got 10% or 20% What did you get? 10 or 20?/strong/em/p
pemMimi: No no no no no. What it was was I wanted to be more involved in the business. It wasnrsquo;t I was accepting a payoff. I actually wanted to be involved. If I put in this work and I have been dealing with this this long I want to be more hands-on with the situation as far as making the money and everything that goes along with it./em/p
pemstrongEgypt: There was one thing I wanted to address. You said Karlie last night surprised you on the show. Why?/strong/em/p
pemMimi: She kinda threw me under the bus last night. Joseline came to see her and it was a gym scene and she told Joseline that I was talking about her or something along those lines and said it more than once and Irsquo;m like were we watching the same show?!/em/p

No hay más Led Zeppelin
By

Justin Vs. Justin: Can Bieber Take Timberlake's Crown?
Justin Bieber and Justin Timberlake have more in common than a first name, but how do their solo careers stack up?
By Gil Kaufman
<P>It's hard to remember now, but there was a time a decade ago when <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/timberlake_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Timberlake</a> elicited the same kind of screaming mobs of young girls that <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a> does now. But these two pop icons have way more in common than just the same first name and the undying devotion of the ladies.</P><P>Both have conquered the pop music universe in a massive way, sold millions of albums and helped fundamentally change what is considered appropriate material for young male singers.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Justin Bieber Lights Up New York Fans" id="vid:793032.id:1687833" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>"I think .. the comparison is a huge honor," Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, told MTV News about the numerous reviews comparing Bieber's evolution and sound to Timberlake's. "That is an iconic artist and someone who, when I was growing up, really set the tone for stars the same way Justin Bieber is for his generation ... A compliment of that nature is something that we embrace, but at the same time I think it's the easy comparison. I like to say things no one else will say: They're both white and both their names are Justin. That's the thing that everyone thinks but they won't say out loud. And I think the two of them feel that way."</P><P>To celebrate the release this week of Bieber's second full-length album, <a href="/news/articles/1687691/justin-bieber-believe-album-details.jhtml"><i>Believe,</i></a> we thought we'd take a look at how the Justins' careers stack up against each other.</P><P><B>Sales</B>: Though he's only released two solo albums in his 10-year career outside of 'NSYNC, Timberlake has hit it big both times, moving more than 10 million units of 2002's Grammy-winning <I>Justified</I> and an equal number for 2006's <I>FutureSex/LoveSounds</I>. Bieber busted out of the box in 2009 with the EP <I>My World</I>, which sold 3.2 million copies in the U.S. He followed with another EP, <I>My World 2.0,</I> which sold another 3.1 million copies in the U.S. His Christmas disc, <I>Under the Mistletoe</I> moved around 1.5 million and total world sales have put him in the 15 million range. But, given that Timberlake is semi-retired from music and <I>Believe</I> is expected to be one of the year's best sellers, it won't be long before the student should overtake the master. <B>Advantage</B>: Timberlake (for now)</P><P><B>Social Media</B>: Timberlake may have Bieber on sales at the moment, but nobody has leveraged social media more than the kid who got discovered on YouTube. Bieber's social media numbers are gawdy: 23.6 million Twitter followers, 44.5 million Facebook likes, more than 2.9 billion YouTube views, including nearly 750 million for the video for his breakthrough single, "Baby" and another 321 million for "Never Say Never." By contrast, Timberlake has staked out a smaller social media presence, amassing 12 million followers on Twitter, 16.1 million likes on Facebook and nearly 240 million YouTube views of his videos. <B>Advantage</B>: Bieber</P><P><img src="http://www.mtv.com/shared/promoimages/bands/b/bieber_justin/vs_timberlake/fight.jpg"> <B>Big-Screen Success</B>: Bieber's concert movie, "Never Say Never," has taken its place as the highest-grossing concert movie of all-time with more than $73 million to date. While Bieber is expanding his movie palette with an upcoming <a href="/news/articles/1680896/justin-bieber-basketball-movie.jhtml">debut dramatic role</a> in a Mark Wahlberg basketball movie, Timberlake has already blazed a formidable trail in acting, which has become his primary focus. Counting animated films featuring his voice and such hits as "The Social Network" ($96 million), "Bad Teacher" ($100 million) and "Yogi Bear" ($100 million), Timberlake's films have grossed nearly $450 million to date. <B>Advantage</B>: Timberlake</P><P><B>Expanding the Brand</B>: While neither Justin has gone all-in on merchandising their name like some other pop stars (50 Cent, Jennifer Lopez), both have extended their brands in interesting ways. Bieber has released two perfumes (Girlfriend and Someday), a line of nail polish, a doll and a book. Timberland has a successful clothing line (William Rast), scents for men and women (Play for Him and Play for Her) a record label (Tennman Records), a golf course in his hometown of Memphis (Mirimichi), restaurant (Southern Hospitality) and a line of tequila (901). <B>Advantage</B>: Timberlake</P><P><B>Precociousness</B>: Sure, Timberlake got there first thanks to his time on the Mickey Mouse Club and in 'NSYNC, but he was an ancient 21 years old when he released his solo debut. Bieber is just 18 and is already on his fourth release, with a movie, books, several sold-out world tours under his belt and, like, Timberlake (Britney Spears), a very public romance with a fellow pop star (Selena Gomez). The comparisons will keep coming, but at the torrid pace he's moving, Bieber is well on his way to eclipsing Timberlake by the time he's old enough to drink. Your move, T. <B>Advantage</B>: Bieber</P><P><i>How do you think the careers of Justin Timberlake and Justin Bieber compare? Leave your comments below!</i></p>
